Crafting On

It's cold and windy and rainy today, not quite cold enough to snow.  I do wonder if it is snowing up high, though.  We are doing cozy inside things on this birthday of Willow's.  There are the paper dolls, bubble baths, and Sparkle Stories and a pumpkin pie to make.

Tomten Jacket

Here's the Tomten Jacket.  All it needs is sleeves and buttons.
I've got for skeins of yarn left, but I think I'll make it.
This will be one warm sweater.  I do appreciate its warmth on my lap while I work.

Here's another night gown I made for Willow, out of the same white flannel sheet.
You can't see it, of course, here in her dress shop.
But, there it is.  It has a sparkly button on the back.

Speaking of Tomtens, ours made this little quilt for Willow.
"Such tiny stitches!" she said.
I don't know about that, but I did try.

Witch Cutout

This is the cutout from last week that I forgot to add.
It's from All Year Round and I am very pleased with it.
Most of it was done with scissors and I used a very sharp pocket knife on the small parts.

Flying Witch

And lastly, a little witch to ride around our living room.
This is from Festivals Family and Food.
It's a simple design, a head stuffed with wool and covered, a pipe cleaner body.
She's got a purple corduroy cape, though it is hard to tell in this light.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
