The Tea Party

Willow and I found ourselves alone for a bit on Saturday morning.  It's not often that I get time alone with any one of the children, except Laurel.  And she's usually napping.  All that aside, Willow wanted to set up a tea party while they were out.

Tea Party

She is the perfect hostess, as I have said many times.  Everyone had a place to sit and a cup to drink from.  There was milk and honey and three tea pots to accomodate all our guests.  She even had reading materials.  We read a few flower fairy poems while we enjoyed our tea.

Tea Party II

I really love how she does things.  I always have.  There is a strong sense of order in this little girl, which can cause some dismay when her siblings are around.  I am interested to see how things shift over the years as Laurel and Roan grow.  Laurel has stopped emptying the play kitchen everywhere, which is a major plus.  It also helps that it's very sparsely furnished.

It is a day for tea here, or hot chocolate.  It is wet and mild, but cooler weather is on the way.  We seem to have chilly weekends and warmer weekdays.  Willow and I are ready for snow.  After our trip over the mountains down South.

What a sweet tea party. I have put up about 80% of our play kitchen things because Morwenna has the same penchant for emptying it out many times a day. ;) Two is a fun age, but I do always look forward to the dumping phase being over...

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
