Crafting On

Just a little bit of crafting in the past week.  The days are so full here: during the week it is a one-woman show, and the weekends seem to be a circus.  For Easter, though, I wanted to have things nice.  Here are some new napkins.  We've been using some of ours for ten years and they are wearing out!  Good thing I am well-versed on how to get a dozen napkins out of a yard of fabric.  We took these first four on our picnic.

The dining room got new curtains.  I found this fabric at, yes, Wal-Mart and really loved it.  Like give me a whole bolt and let's make everything out of it.  Instead, I got two yards and made some valances.  It is such a merry print.  The dining room will be slightly lighter soon, when I paint it, but I just know it will still match.

And now the children are waking up and it is time to get on with the day (and the first mowing of the year!). For more crafting, visit Frontier Dreams.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
