WrappingGoodness, I'm predictable.  It's time to wrap presents again, to assess what's been made or found at yard and library sales.  I wrote out a list of things that I need or want to make before Christmas this year.  It's time I made a plan so that I can make the things that I really want to but seldom find the time to.  Like those dear dolls.  I'm going to put the little girl back together during my teleclass this afternoon.  I've had her waiting a ridiculously long time.  Really, I was mad at myself for messing up.  Time to move on.

Here's what we've got so far, since I always like to list it.  Because, who are we kidding?  I often forget what I gave or received from one year to the next.
*Lavender sachets :: a kindergarten craft
*Muffin mix and polenta for Mike's oldest sister :: since she can't find them in England easily
*A garden journal for Mike's mom
*From the Hills of Georgia for Mike's dad :: a dear, dear book
*Picka Peppa sauce for Mike's parents :: they like the stuff

And here are my aspirations:
*Two knitted pigs for Becky
*A knitted horse for Roan
*Two knitted kitties
*Two doll bunting beds
*A felt wreath for the playstands
*Felt mistletoe (inspired by things we saw at Earth Fare)
*Christmas hats for Mike, me and Laurel
*Christmas mittens for the children
*A Christmas vest for Laurel (though I'll probably run out of the yarn)
*A bunting doll for Laurel

And now, back to Autumn and three hungry children who are now awake!

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
