Popcorn

Popcorn!

Sing a song of popcorn
When the snow storms rage.
50 little men
Put into a cage.
Shake them till they laugh and leap
Crowding to the top
Watch them burst their little coats
Pop, pop, pop!

~Enki Kindergarten

It's a fun one. We really like it here. It has movements to go along, of course. Fists pop open, hands swirl for snow, fingers lace together to make a cage (like the church and steeple fingerplay), it gets shaken, and fingers pop out one by one.

Me, too. The hand movements are above, if you want to give it a go.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.

~Adolph Murie, biologist, on Denali
