Wrap-Style Skirt

I love to make multiples of things that I really enjoy using, of course. This skirt is that, and it's a duplication of a store-bought skirt I have that is showing its age.  This one is pretty similar, same maker and style, but mine is a knit and this new one is, too.  Among all the fabric given to me were some pieces of knit tubing that I will also make into a new pair of yoga pants.  It's really fairly easy to duplicate existing garments and the pattern stays in place much better than a paper one.  Thought I did have a bit if trouble with someone trying to walk on the skirt while I took its picture.  Black is so hard to photograph.  And of course, it looks wrinkled because I just had to wear it.  It's so comfortable!  Even better than the orginial!

Good for you. I have 3 shirts in my closet that have been there for (a-hem)way too long that I have always planned to reproduce. Each of them was my favourite shirt - in its time- until they got too worn to wear anymore. Your skirt looks great!

Thanks! It is. It's a little thicker, too, which I think will be good for fall.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
