Crafting On :: Martinmas Sweater

Martinmas Sweater

600+ miles of travel and this is what I have to show for it.  Well, this and some second grade reading.  I'm pretty pleased with the progress from last week, and my progress in general!  I did a few extra rows along the bottom leaves because I want it to last through Spring (or longer).  Right now, I'm finishing off the seed stitch edge, and then it's just the neckband and sleeves.

It's early here, but I want to swap out the sheets and bedspreads today and there are lots of little things to do.  When it's 82° in the children's room with air conditioning and fans, it's time for a change!  I think I'll bring my sewing machine inside, too.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
