Crafting On

I've made some progress (and put a stop to canning for the week).  It's ninety-five degrees and the outside world seems crispy and tired.  We're so ready for Fall.  Willow's Martinmas Sweater is done and I feel so pleased.  I really like this pattern and I had enough yarn!  I made it longer than suggested, and it seems like it should fit a good while.  I had her try it on while it was still a little damp and it was happy to grow. ;-)

Completed Martinmas Sweater

And here's a long-time-coming craft.  This is for you, Kim!  It's a doll head!  I'll put on the skin fabric and face today.  I've had doll clothes cut out for a long, long time and it's time to just push on and do all that.  So, that means you, too, elizabethhas7.  That new wardrobe you've requested is next in line!

A New Head

I'm going to stop typing now and start making. For more crafting, visit Frontier Dreams.

You finished the sweater! That purple really suits her, just lovely for her. That doll head is looking good. :) - Stacey

Thank you! No worries about the head--I don't think people would know that's what's inside a doll, to begin with. ;-)

How exciting. I am just reading your blog for the first time in forever. I wish my shift key worked and I could add appropriate exclamation points.

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
