Crafting On

Here's the Martinmas sweater that I've been making for Laurel.  I was a little slow with having smashed my thumb in the car door, but it's feel more (new) normal now.  It's coming along nicely, and I'm halfway through the leaf pattern repeats.  Laurel's bigger than your average two year old, I think, but it is still small and knitting something like a sweater in a small size is fun.  I work on this while we watch Tales from the Green Valley.

And blakdove, are you out there?  These are your napkins on top!  I sewed them in one sitting, too!  We must do well when Mercury is in retrograde.  I've cut out two dozen more for our house, since we are always running out of napkins!  We can't really use them for more than one meal because we really use them.  I've got plans to make Willow a skirt out of the blue and grey fabric, as well.  It was hard to look at the orange on the bottom and not want to make it into something else, but I know we will love it as napkins.

Such cute napkins! And that sweater! I'm itching to cast one on. You spur me on with all your makings, you know that?? :) - Stacey

A Blessed Wilderness

It was just like being in heaven, being in there. In those days there was no road. The park was all a blessed wilderness. I have often thought what a wonderful people we would have been if we had wanted to keep it that way.
